Calacatta Monet comes from Italian marble quarries known for Calacatta-type stone. The veining is organic and never repeats exactly, so slab selection is part of the process. In natural light the white field stays bright while the veins add depth. Fabricators often use it for islands, full-height backsplashes, and shower walls where the pattern can run continuously. It is a softer stone than quartzite, so sealing and sensible care matter in kitchens. For many clients that tradeoff is worth it for the look.
